A Healthy and Tasty Snack for the Evening – Simple Recipe
Clean and soak both the millets and the rice together for 3 to 4 hours.
Cut the onions into pieces (or take the onions in a mixie jar and grind it a little.)
Grind the soaked content along with red chillies, dhania and curry leaves in a wet grinder with very little water.
Add the onion little by little to the grinder and grind it to a coarse consistency. Transfer the contents to a bowl and add salt and mix it well.
Now, heat the oil in a kadai and once the oil becomes hot take a small ball size of batter, flatten it a little and put it in the oil. Turn the vadai two or three times to ensure it is cooked from all the sides.
Very tasty and crispy vadai is ready for serving. Very healthy too.
Note: Be aware that onions will make the batter watery. So, be cautious in adding water while grinding the millets.
Adding more onions will give a good taste.
