The Almighty Existence – My exploration and understanding!
After these many years of a strong belief in God, visiting temples, and worshiping intensely, in my mid fifties, I am getting this doubt! Whether there is someone by the name Lord Shiva or Lord Vishnu or Ma Kali…!
The Gita says Lord Krishna is the ultimate and other Gods and Goddesses are part of Him, the other stream of people say Shiva is the creator and another set of people believe that Ma Kali is the one who created Shiva, Vishnu, and also Brahma. There is yet another ideology that states that Lord Ganesh is the Supreme God and anything and everything is part of Him! Why so many Gods / Goddesses and the relationship among them also?
I had an opportunity to attend the Universal Human Values sessions wherein I understood that:
The Existence is in the form of Co existence, where all the units are submerged in space. The units are limited in size and they are active. The space is unlimited, all pervading and there is no activity. The units are self organised in space, energised in space and every unit recognises its relationship and fulfils its relationship with every other unit in space.

If this is the case, were my ancestors unaware of this? Why are there so many different stories about various Gods?
Maybe they might have observed that not every person can understand this universal truth, not everyone can see the existence as coexistence! So, to guide the people they have shown various ways to focus and get the lessons for life. If we observe closely, we can see they have guided us to pray to Existence in its different forms: We worship the mountains, rivers, stones, etc – the physical order. We worship the trees, herbs etc – the bio order. We worship cows, snakes, etc – the animal order. Of course, we worship the Gods in the form of humans – the human order. In total, knowingly or unknowingly, we are praying/asking the Existence, the Almighty Existence!
Our ancestors were so wise that they gave role models and guidance in the name of God so that people can follow the right practices at least out of the fear factor!
If you take my case, a few years ago, I was mad about Lord Krishna, to the extent that whatever I eat I will keep the first handful of that to Krishna. For the past more than a year I have been worshiping Lord Shiva and I really do not know how and when this shift happened. Whenever I am praying to Him I get lots of questions.
After a deep exploration I understand that whatever may be the path, through Lord Krishna or Shiv Dev or Ma Kali or Lord Ganesh, we see the existence only, the Almighty Existence!
Even now I go to temples and do the havans. I observe the words and sounds that have been very carefully consecrated into mantras by our saints and gurus. Performing the pooja/havan with those matras facilitates the other units in existence to recognise and fulfill our desires.
