- Coconut – ½ cup, grated
- Green chillies – 3, finely chopped
- Ginger – 1-inch piece, chopped
- Curry leaves – a handful, chopped
- Coriander leaves – a handful, chopped
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Til oil – 4 tbsp (2 tbsp while mixing + 2 tbsp for kneading)
