An Easy-to-Cook Recipe for a Healthy Breakfast or Dinner!
If you’re looking for a wholesome, light, and flavorful dish that suits both breakfast and dinner, this Wheat Rava Kichadi is perfect. Packed with veggies, nuts, and mild spices, it’s not only nutritious but also incredibly satisfying.
Dry roast the groundnuts, cool, remove the skin, and set aside.
Heat oil in a kadai. Add mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal, cumin seeds, and red chillies. Sauté for 2 minutes.
Toss in green chillies, onion, and ginger. Sauté until the raw smell disappears.
Add chopped tomato and cook until soft. Mix in all vegetables, add salt, and cook until they turn tender.
Pour in 3½ cups of water and bring it to a boil.
Gradually add wheat rava while stirring to prevent lumps. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, until fully cooked.
Add grated coconut, roasted groundnuts. Fry cashews in ghee and mix them in (if using).
Serve hot with coconut chutney and sambar for a complete, comforting meal.
