Clean the thuthuvalai leaves, just take only the leaves and soft stems.
Heat oil in a kadai, once the oil is hot add 1 and 1/2 tablespoons of urad dal, chana dal, pepper and the curry leaves and saute until the dal turns golden. Transfer the contents to a bowl and keep it aside.
In the same kadai add one teaspoon of oil and saute the thuthuvalai leaves and the coriander leaves.
Now, grind the leaves in a mixie and then add the dal gems and grind them into coarse consistency.
Heat one teaspoon of oil in a small frying pan and add the mustard seeds, 1/2 teaspoon of urad dal and a few curry leaves, saute well and garnish the chutney.
