Packed with the earthy goodness of ragi (finger millet) and the nutrient-rich power of drumstick leaves, this traditional South Indian rotti is wholesome, flavourful, and perfect for a healthy start to your day. 💚
Grind red chillies, cloves, garlic, anise, and cinnamon into a fine paste. Set aside.
In a large bowl, mix ragi flour, wheat flour, and drumstick leaves.
Add chopped onions, green chillies, coriander, and curry leaves.
Mix in the ground paste, then add water gradually to make a soft, non-sticky dough.
Roll a medium-sized dough ball into a rotti (thin or thick, as you prefer).
Heat a tawa, place the rotti on it, and cook until bubbles appear. Flip, drizzle oil/ghee, and cook until golden brown spots form.
Tip: Skip rolling by flattening the dough directly on the tawa with wet hands — the traditional way!
