Wash the foxtail millet and soak it for 30 minutes.
Take the water in a thick bottom vessel and heat it. Once the water starts boiling add the millet and salt.
Cook it in medium flame until the millet becomes soft.
Drain the excess water and transfer the cooked millet to a hotpack.
Millet rice is ready for serving.
You can serve any sambar, rasam or any other gravy items with this millet rice.
Note: If you are using a cooker, take 4 cups of water and cook it for 3 to 4 whistles. Adjust the water and the cooking time as per the requirement.
