A Simple recipe for a healthy snack for a rainy evening, Ragi Pakoda

Step by step method

  • Step 1

    Mix the ragi flour, besan, cashew pieces in a large mixing bowl.

  • Step 2

    Add all the cut vegetables, onion, ginger, coriander and curry leaves to the flour.

  • Step 3

    Grind red chillies, garlic pearls and salt into a nice paste and add it to the mixture.

  • Step 4

    In a frying pan, heat the oil for frying the pakoda. Add 2 tablespoons of this hot oil to the mixture and mix well.

  • Step 5

    Add the required amount of water to form a dough.

  • Step 6

    Make the desired size of ragi pakoda pieces and fry them in hot oil.

  • Hot and crispy vegetable pakoda is ready for serving!

Tips & variations

  • Adding besan flour is optional. But, if not adding besan flour, add ½ cup of ragi flour itself as the other measurements are given for 2 and a half cups of flour.
