Light, tangy, fresh — and packed with natural Vitamin C!

This Amla Vegetable Soup is a simple, refreshing, and nourishing bowl made with tangy amla, colourful vegetables, ginger, garlic, and pepper. Naturally vitamin-C rich, soothing for the throat, and light on the stomach, it’s perfect for evenings, detox days, or whenever you want a warm, healthy drink without heaviness.

Health Notes

Amla is one of the richest natural sources of Vitamin C, supporting immunity, skin health, and digestion. When combined with vegetables, ginger, garlic, and pepper, the soup becomes warming, anti-inflammatory, and metabolism-friendly. A gentle, nutrient-packed choice for all ages.

Ingredients

Step by step method

  • Sauté the Aromatics

Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan. Add ginger and garlic; sauté lightly. Add the chopped amla and sauté for a minute.

  • Add Vegetables

Add carrot, beans, sweet corn (or any vegetables you prefer). Add pepper and salt.

  • Boil the Soup

Pour 4 cups of water. Add lemon juice and give the soup a high boil.

  • Finish & Serve

Turn off the flame and add fresh coriander leaves just before serving.

Tips & variations

  • Serving Suggestion: Serve hot as a soothing evening drink or pair it with a light salad or millet khichdi for a complete meal.

  • Add spinach or cabbage for extra nutrition.

  • Add a spoon of moong dal while boiling for a slightly thicker, protein-rich version.

  • Replace pepper with crushed green chilli for a different flavour.
