Chettial Veetu Special Vengaya Rotti
Take all the ingredients, wheat flour, onion, green chillies, ginger, coriander leaves, curry leaves, and salt, in a large mixing bowl.
Add 2 tablespoons of till oil and mix them well gently.
Add the required amount of water, little by little, to form a dough, (not very tight and not very loose). Add the remaining till oil and kneed the dough well.
Close the dough with a wet cloth and keet it aside for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Apply some oil on the backside of a banana leaf. Take a ball-sized dough and roll it out into a thin roti on the banana leaf.
Heat a tawa over medium heat. Place the roti and take the banana leaf slowly leaving the roti on the tawa.
Cook for 1-2 minutes, flip the roti and cook for 1-2 minutes, or until lightly browned.
Tasty and healthy wheat rotti is ready for serving.
Add enough oil while kneading the dough, so that you can spread it as a thin rotti.
Spread the dough on the backside of the banana leaf which helps to transfer the rotti to the tawa.
