A Simple Recipe for a Healthy Tiffin Item for Dinner
Soak both the millets and toor dal together for 4 to 5 hours.
Grind the soaked millets and toor dal along with red chilli, dhania, and curry leaves to a nice batter. Transfer the batter to a bowl and keep it aside.
Now, heat the oil in a kadai and add the mustard seeds, urad dal, green chilli, onion, and a few curry leaves and saute until the onion turns glossy.
Finally, add the coriander leaves and add this mixture to the batter and mix well.
Add salt and enough water to bring it to the dosa batter consistency.
You can prepare dosa immediately, no need to ferment the batter.
Tasty and crispy dosa is ready for serving!
Note: You can make crispy dosa and if preferred you can make little thick adai also. Accordingly you have to add water.
Side dish: Coconut chutney is the perfect choice for paruppu dosa. Butter and jaggery also a classic combination for this! If you are making adai, then avial also a good side dish.
