A Healthy and Tasty Snack – Simple Recipe

Step by step method

  • Step 1

    Clean and soak the foxtail millet, raw rice, idli rice, and wheat together for 4 to 5 hours.

  • Step 2

    Grind it nicely to a fine batter. ⁠Add jaggery and grind for few more minutes. Add salt and mix it to combine well.

  • Step 3

    Add water, if required to make it to little thinner than the dosa batter consistency. Add the coconut pieces and mix it well.

  • Step 4

    Now, heat oil in a kadai. Once the oil becomes hot, pour a ladle of the batter and wait until the adai comes up.(once cooked, it will come up in the oil)

  • Step 5

    When the adai comes up, turn it and after a few seconds take it out and keep it in an oil drainer. Once the oil is drained, transfer the adai to a plate.

  • The sweet adai is ready for serving.

Tips & variations

  • Side dish: This does not require any side dish !
