A Healthy and Tasty Sweet – Simple Recipe
Dry roast the foxtail millet over medium heat until you get the nutty aroma of this millet. Transfer it to a wide bowl and allow it to cool.
Grind the roasted millet into a fine powder using a food processor or Mixie.
Mix the ground millet powder with palm jaggery, cardamom powder and the chopped nuts.
Heat the ghee in a frying pan over medium heat and add the mixed millet content. Stir the content continuously, until the mixture turns slightly brown.
Transfer the content to a wide bowl and once the heat reduces to the level that you can hold it in your hand take a handful of the mixture and shape it to laddus. Tighten the mixture so that the laddu does not break.
Sweet laddu is ready for serving.
This foxtail millet is very suitable for making any sweet items due to its nutty flavour!
