Step by step method

  • Step 1

    In a frying pan take one spoon of oil and saute the drumstick leaves and transfer it to a bowl.

  • Step 2

    Heat one teaspoon of oil in a frying pan and add urad dal, sesame seeds, pepper, onions, garlic and tamarind and saute till they get cooked. Then add drumstick leaves, saute for a few more minutes.

  • Step 3

    Transfer the contents to a mixie jar and add salt and grind it to a coarse paste.

  • Step 4

    Heat 1 teaspoon of oil in a small frying pan and add mustard seeds, curry leaves and asafoetida and saute them. Garnish the chutney with this.

  • Healthy and tasty drumstick leaves chutney is ready for serving.
